Wes Rutledge started his investment career just two months before the worst financial crash in the United States history occurred in 1987. He was just 25 years old, and the investing world was rapidly changing and evolving.

He advised hundreds of individuals and companies – doctors/lawyers/business owners/retired persons and their children … and their grandchildren. He was also a stock trader – trading hundreds of thousands of shares and millions of dollars for two $15+ Billion pensions.

His career then zoomed through the late 1990s – producing staggering returns – until the markets fell again just after the turn of the century with the bursting of the Y2K Technology Bubble.

Patiently, he guided his clients through another recovery and through the Great Recession that started in 2007. That’s when the value of his investment strategies really paid off. His clients not only survived – they thrived!

In 2014, having achieved his own financial success, he retired from the daily world of Wall Street at the age of 52 to focus more on mission-based activities. Wes lives in Louisville, KY with his wife of 28 years.

He served briefly as a CEO of a small non-profit company and rose to the top of an industry leading civic celebration that entertains over 1 million people annually serving as its Board Chairman.

And then he stepped back and started writing.

He’s dad to two young adults and grooms them and their friends with his investment insights set out in his book “So Dad, How Can I make Dollars and Sense?” Wealth-Building Insights for when Adulting begins in EARNest.

Wes is an author and speaker dedicated to partnering with others to promote financial literacy.
